As a fortunate citizen of our wonderful country, I am humbled and thankful for the opportunity to live a life of virtue as gay person. We musn't ever take for granted that though we have advanced by leaps and bounds over the last several years to a place of respect and inclusiveness, there are still people and places who disbelieve in us as humans.

The crimes committed in Orlando, Florida to an unsuspecting group of innocent citizens celebrating life together is incomprehensible and will likely never be explained.

May we stand together as responsible and loving people to support our friends both near and afar through this tragedy. Let us not forget that the impact of this devastating force will ripple into the lives of every gay person in your own community who may be fearful to be who they are. Take this opportunity to foster understanding, love and concern for these people and reach your arms open to those in need.
