Words cannot express the emotions of having lost you in this life. Sure - this is life, you would say, but I dont think you understand how much I appreciated you. I understand how life works, but I suppose I hadn't thought about it ever really happening to you.
Everyone holds their own perspectives and thoughts about someone, but here, I want to express mine about you. I know you will listen. I hope that you can feel the love from it.
You were my biggest fan. You were the person in my corner, even when I was wrong. If we got upset with one another, I know I could push your buttons but you would always come back and try to make it okay again.
You shared some huge things with me, things that I know were not easy for you to tell me. Regrets, tenderness and even funny stories. You let me in. I know that wasn't like you and they are things I will hold throughout my life.
You were there whenever I needed it. Both you and Meme were always up for company, okay with me hanging around or buying the best cheese for when I came to visit. You never swore in front of me. Always trying to encourage me in my own interests. Proud of most things I had done (even that 0.01 for earning an honours). I still remember showing you my first tattoo and you said you liked it.
Even though I've been away for a long time, I've always held you in my heart. You were unconditionally there, even if sometimes you didn't express it. Even though the words were not always there, I felt it. Thank you for that. Thank you for being such a light in my life.
