Obituary of Dianne Vanetti
Dianne (Mary) Vanetti
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dianne (Mary) Vanetti (nee Deveaux). Dianne passed away peacefully at Trillium Health Centre Mississauga on Saturday, October 1st, 2016 at the age of 71.
Daughter of Jeanette Deveaux and the late George Deveaux. Loving wife of Eric for 51 years. Cherished mother of Patricia, Blair (Lianne), Lori (Jason) and predeceased by Allan. Fondly remembered by grandchildren, Shelby, Grace, Megan and Cheyenne and always remembered by Claire and Lily. Amazing sister to Rita (Buzz), Gilbert (Colette), Wayne (Melodie), Gary (Cheryl), Gail (Dave), and Lisa. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews and extended family across Canada.
Dianne was born and raised in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. She married Eric after finding her engagement ring in a chocolate box of potato peels. During their many moves between Ontario and Nova Scotia 4 children joined the family. Her door was always open to the many family members who needed a start in Ontario. Dianne worked for Carlton Cards for many years but her true passion was for the many children and families that she cared for.
Cremation has taken place and a gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 between 1:30 and 4:40 p.m. in the eco Life Celebration Centre-Oak Room of St. John's Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium (737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga at Cawthra). A formal blessing for Dianne will take place at 2 p.m., with casual visiting to follow. Guests are invited to park in the lot south of the cemetery gates and proceed to the main building where guidance to the Oak Room will be provided.
