Obituary of Idelle Brown
Born Idelle Marjorie Perkins on July 13, 1930 in Rossendale Manitoba on the family farm to Edgar Perkins of Lavenham Manitoba and Dorthy Margaret (Smith) Perkins of Newton Stewart, Scotland. She was raised in Rossendale before later moving to Toronto where she would marry the late Fred Brown. She had 4 children with Fred: twins Donna and Dave, Lori and Doug. They bought a home in 1960 which she resided in until her passing and Dave and I both still live there. She was a people person who chat away til the wee hours of the morning. She loved going to Bingo. Some of her other interests and passions included: making puzzles, crossword puzzles, reading romance novels, the Toronto Blue Jays, Nascar racing, and was a big fan of dancing with the Stars. Before her father past she would regularly make 2 trips a year to Potage LA Prarie to visit Edgar, once in the spring and once in the fall. She was a very welcoming and friendly person who opened her door numerous times to help a friend who needed somewhere to stay.
Idelle will be laid to rest on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at St. John's Norway Cemetery (256 Kingston Road, Toronto at Woodbine).
