Dear Family of Debra,
We are terribly sorry for your loss. The bible describes death as "the last enemy,". It breaks into our lives with uncontrollable force and robs us of those whom we hold dear leaving us feeling completely unprepared to cope with death and its aftermath. Many grieve in different ways but we can all agree that no matter what there is no greater pain then saying goodbye to those we love. During these times, we often wander who we can turn to for comfort. The bible tells us at Proverbs 17:17, "A true friend shows love at all times and is a brother who is born for times of distress." We certainly agree that being around our friends and family can absolutely help ease the pain. But there is someone who can prove to be the best friend to a bereaved person, that is our creator, Jehovah God. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to pour out our heart and anxieties to god, because he cares for us.
Many people wonder, if god cares for us then why does he allow us to suffer? Although god is allowing suffering to take place now, he assures us through his word the bible that he will not allow death to go on forever. Revelation 21:3,4 says, " God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
We can trust these promises because God cannot lie and all that he has promised will always come true.

With deepest appreciation,
Jasmin
