Obituary of Jill Elizabeth Purdy

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 20, 2016 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Gordon Purdy, cherished mother of Ryan Purdy (Katie Stucky) and Ashley Purdy (Robert Kress), proud grandmother to Ryley Kress and Carly Kress and dear sister to late Joan and Peter. Jill worked for years at the Guild Inn where she met her husband and life long best friend. She was a stylish, vibrant woman who was very social and loved by most who met her. Jill was diagnosed with Scleroderma about 5 years ago. Despite being told by doctors that it was terminal she maintained a fighting spirit, sense of humour and bright smile until her final days, determined to never let go of hope. Friends and family are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life in Jill's honour, which will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at The Duke, 1225 Queen St. East, Toronto, (Queen and Leslie) starting at 3:00 p.m. Please help to create a legacy for Jill by sharing your photos, stories and memories here.
