Obituary of Barbara Ann Westbye

It is with very great sadness that the family of Barbara Westbye (née MacLean), 77, announce her passing on December 1, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto from complications related to emphysema.

Beloved mother of Christopher, Linda and Kharen Westbye and grandmother of Michael and Aiden Maguire and Caeden Westbye. Cherished sister to Donna (Clifford) Martin, aunt to three nieces and grand-aunt to five nieces and nephews in Burlington. Predeceased by her parents Ian and Etta MacLean, husband Carl Westbye and daughter-in-law Rosemary Cercone.

Barb touched everyone that she knew with her kindness and generosity. She was devoted to her family, tirelessly sacrificing her time and energy to make their lives better. 

Please celebrate her life with us  with Visitation on Wednesday December 6, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at the eco Life Celebration Centre at the St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium (737 Dundas St. E., at Cawthra, Mississauga). Guests are invited to park in the lot adjacent to the church and proceed through the cemetery gates to the main building.
