To the loving family of Michelle Louise O'Brien, I wanted to offer my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your remarkable wife and mother. I never had the honour to meet Michelle, but I saw the fresh flowers in St. John's cemetery this morning and wanted to reach out to you. I lost my beloved father, Ginutis Procuta, a week ago, and have been feeling inspired by his life to reach out to wonderful people, both those I have met and those I haven't. Reading about Michelle's life here, and about her work with veterans, I feel as though she and my dad would have enjoyed a great chat. My dad was a young boy in Europe during the Second World War, who lost both his own father and his homeland, Lithuania. Thank you so much for sharing such amazing memories and images of Michelle's life and her legacy. I will think of her, and of you, every time I pass by her grave as I walk my sweet dog. Sean, Evan, Laura and Amy, Michelle was an amazing woman. She had such an impact on our family in such a short time. We were very sad to hear about Michelle's passing and will remember her as a kind and loving neighbour and friend. We got to know Michelle, living just a few doors away on Silver Birch. Michelle always had a smile and humour to add to everyday life as we shared stories of our growing children.
Michelle shared her struggle with cancer with us and we were amazed at her positive attitude and strength.
We will miss Michelle and send our condolences to Sean, Evan, Laura, Amy and the rest of the family.
