Obituary of George Arnold Abraham Lewis
It is with deep sadness that we share the loss of George Arnold Abraham Lewis who died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga on February 23rd, 2018, at the age of 82.
George is cherished and will be forever missed by his devoted wife and best friend of 62 years, Mona, and his children Kevin (Cheryl), Gordon (Michal) and Delrene (George). He is dearly beloved by his grandchildren; David (Amy), Mellisa (Chris), Stephanie (John), Amanda (Clark), Ryan, Nicole, James, Alexandria and Tyler, and his adoring great-grandchildren; Gavin, Nathan, Eryn, Emma and Keegan.
A man of great faith, George looked forward to being greeted in heaven by his parents, William and Greata, sons George and Darin, and granddaughter Crystal.
He will be missed by his many friends and a large extended family in New Brunswick.
George lived life to the fullest, finding joy in family, friends and everyday situations. He will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humour, and devotion to his loved ones. His strong character and unfailing comedic antics carried him through many health challenges in this life until at last, his heart could no longer carry the burden of his body. He loved deeply and was loved in return, and went to his next life, proud of his family and knowing he was adored as a husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, Feb 27th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, Feb 28th from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., followed by a funeral service at the eco Life Celebration Centre at the Magnolia Chapel of St. John’s Dixie Cemetery, 737 Dundas St. E (at Cawthra). The family asks that you join them for a reception following the funeral service on Wednesday, Feb.28th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the eco Life Celebration Centre at the Oak Room of St. John’s Dixie Cemetery.
