I don’t know where to begin. I was randomly scrolling Facebook tonight that decided to see if I could find Mahta joon, my favorite teacher whom I still remember from my kindergarten days at Rahe Noe some 30 years ago.
I can’t believe she is no longer with us. I really wish I had the chance to see her again, especially since we both lived in Canada.
This is very random but, I still have the tiny little clay statue of a beaver that she gave me when I was 4. This little statue somehow made its way safe through my childhood and even found its way to Canada when we moved here years back. I still have it, and it’s on my desk in my parents’ place in Edmonton.
To Mahta joon’s family, I’m really sorry for your loss. She was such an exceptional person.
To Mahta Joon, thank you for all the amazing memories at Rah e Noe. Love you, rest in peace ♥️

Mahta and I met a few years ago at our daughters school. I'm so thankful to have met such a strong, kind, caring, generous and loving lady. I'm honoured to have had her as my friend. I will miss you terribly.
Her strength through her illness was incredible, she was one of the strongest women I know.
May you rest in peace my friend and guide and protect your loved ones.
I love you and miss you.

I met Mahta on Deanna's very first day of S. K. Just a few short months later she came into my classroom to invite me to Deanna's birthday! I felt so special to be a part of a family celebration. I am so glad I was given the opportunity to get to know a strong, positive, friendly, generous, kind, energetic and sincere woman. If anything is obvious, it is how she adores her children. She was an incredible mother, one to admire, learn from and cherish. May she rest in peace.
