I first met Peter in 1991 when we became colleagues. He was an amazing mentor in my career. There were countless fun times at works and so many stories our group shared.
Over the years, we became steadfast friends, with the friendship expanding beyond to our families. The Wests and the Lees celebrated many important life milestones together. These memories will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Perry and I are deeply saddened by Peter’s passing. We will miss his ready smile, his sense of humour and mischief. Most of all we will miss his friendship more than words can express.
Much love to Linda, Andrea, Colin and the rest of the family.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Peter West. He was an amazing brother in law to Dave and myself and godfather and uncle to our children. He provided a loving home for his family. He loved his fishing trips and watching the Argos. I remember the great times we all shared in Belleville and Wellington and many euchre games. Mabel would agree. Dave and I will always remember the great laughs we had in Punta Cana at Colin and Trish’s wedding. He told some good stories.
All our love to Linda, Andrea, Colin and the rest of the family. He will be missed.

There is a natural tendency with the loss of a dear family member to mourn and feel great sadness. But, while dealing with our grief, we should remember the positive impact that Peter has left behind for everyone who knew him and with whom we had the pleasure of spending some time .
Peter always exuded a happy demeanour and was an exemplary role model as a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law and friend. He will be sorely missed but always thought of in a very loving way.

West....Ayearst here. I guess I am never going to say that again.
Peter was one of a kind, respectful, terrific commonsense and a great sense of humour. I am so grateful that he was my mentor. He gave me the foundation and support that so helped in my career. I am going to miss phoning Peter up to tell him some screwy story usually involving the usual suspects that I know would tickle his sense of humour.
Peter certainly made a difference to so many people and of course the best being the beautiful family and home he made.
Happy fishing Peter - bet the big one still gets away!
