Hello
I did read Gord's obit and was kind of floored by the breadth and scope of his passions and expertise. To me he was a quiet editor at The Sun who kind of tolerated the folly of a young rock critic. Never impolite, always professional. Yes, still waters do run very deep.
He is remembered fondly in better times.

So sorry for your loss. A scripture I find comfort in when going through difficult times is Psalms 34:18 which says Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit and also revelation 24:3,4 which says and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
