Obituary of Elsa Meier
Peacefully, in the evening of Sept 7 2020, Elsa Meier passed away in her 97th year. Throughout her life Elsa was proud of her Estonian heritage and took pride in working hard. She especially enjoyed the years spent with her husband Jaan on their farm in South Monaghan. She was “Elsa Tädi” to her twin sister Ella’s’ children, Peter, Paul and Linda, and “Aunt Elsa” to Peter and Paul’s many children. Elsa always enjoyed the friendship and company of her friends at Eesti Kodu. Elsa will be missed by her family and her extended family in Toronto and Estonia. Elsa was predeceased by her brother Edmund and her sisters Regina and Ella. Elsa especially missed her twin sister Ella after her death in 2015. Now, Elsa and Ella are together once again.
Elsa was laid to rest at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Cavan, Ontario.
