Marilyn, My sincere condolences to you, Steve, Sue, spouses and grandchildren. I was just over to my cottage near the Rideau Ferry and the EMC was in my mail box with the sad news of Ron's passing. I am not sure when (or if) you moved from the Rideau Ferry; but I drove by the house a dozen times; always with the good intention of visiting but I wasn't sure if you were still living there or not. And now Ron is gone. How many times have we said to ourselves; I should go visit X; then we don't, and then it's too late. I was aware of Ron's illness; not sure how, but somebody told me. My fondest branch years were spent in Smiths Falls; for many reasons, but one of the top reasons was working with you, and for Ron. He was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word, and Sylvie and I will always cherish the RBC cruise in January 1998 with you and Ron. It's obvious from all of the pictures in the Obituary that you have sensational support from the kids and the grandkids. And, with the craziness of 2020; stay healthy and stay safe. We here on the "Wet" Coast were so sorry of Ron's passing. Ron offered so many positives to his family and business associates. Honesty, dedication and sincerity were his foundation,not many have all three. I fondly remember, most of his visit to Expo 67 in an new Mustang.. golf at the family outings in Perth, investment thoughts sitting on his dock at Dickey Lake and and his favourite -JD- during sunsets in Hawaii.. We all wish we could accomplish what Ron did --RIP Mate.. Stan, Claudia, Jesse, Melissa, Betty and Bella .

I was so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He was not only a great friend over so many years, but also my boss for a short period of time. One of my favourite memories occurred during Ron's tenure as Regional Manager for the Windsor area. We were playing golf at Roseland, when Ron scored a hole-in-one. As the ball headed toward the hole on that particular par three, we all got excited watching its trajectory only to be disappointed, when it rolled past the cup toward the back of the green. He was the last to hit, so we turned away and walked toward our carts. Upon arrival at the green, we could not locate his ball. Unbeknownst to us, given the green sloped sharply from back to front, the ball had reversed course and ended up in the cup - sadly none of us witnessed that rare event in a golfer's life. I am still waiting for my first, so Ron, if you've got any pull at that great golf course in the sky, a little help -PLEASE! My condolences to Marilyn, Steve, Sue and your families. Doug Clark
