Obituary of Biserka Kostelski

It is with immense sorrow that I formally announce the death of my mom, Biserka Kostelski, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on the eve of March 26th, 2021.  She was diagnosed with a brain tumour and then just recently diagnosed with COVID19.

Mom was the daughter of the late Anton and Rosalia Vinkovic, sister to her three brothers, Cedomil, Zeljko, and Boris and her sister Durda.  Loved dearly by her daughter Renata and her son Arman.  She was also blessed with 4 beautiful grandchildren who will miss her immensely, Brendan, Steven, Sandra and Christina.

Biserka was born in Zagreb, Croatia and had a love for life!  Even though being born during difficult times in Europe and then the death of her mom at the age of 8, and later in life her son passing at the age of 44, she was always positive, full of compassion and cared for the people that were close to her.  She had a love for cooking and baking and enjoyed sharing her delicious treats.  She traveled and worked in different countries and made a difference in the lives of the people along the way.  Her kindness and unconditional love will always be remembered.  I feel blessed to have had such an inspirational and wonderful mom.

Due to Covid 19 mandated gathering restrictions, the funeral service will be private.  However, once the restrictions are lifted we would like to celebrate her life at a later date with family and friends.
