Daer George, Eugene, sweet little Sophie, and the relatives! Our deepest, deepest condolences on such a great loss!
Loredana was my true and loyal friend for almost 30 years. It was my privilege to have such a dignified, dedicated, smart, beautiful inside/out, deep thinker, yet such a fun and life loving soul for my friend. Yes, I could go on, and on listing virtues she was blessed with; such a unique lady; she has enhanced countless lives, including mine. I will miss her beyond any belief, or borders. Sara was Loredana's life. She truly was one of the most dedicated, loving, and supportive mothers I ever knew. And fruits of her labour of love one could recognize in Sara. Sara was a gem in every aspect. It was such a delight to see her grow into an exceptional young mother herself, accomplishing so many achievements on the way. I was so impressed with Sara as a child too, so impressed, but worried about her in the new country, that I have wrote a poem about her, back in 1993. I titled it SARINI FERALI! U tudjini hladnoj, kobnoj, vjetar puse, staze mete, sve je zivo sakrilo se, pletenice snijezne plete. I Sara je puna nade u svijet posla kao dijete, pozdravila srecu, radost, na vratima zemlje klete. Oluja se poigrava krhkim tijelom mlade breze, sudbina joj na listove slike cudne kistom veze. Dva ferala oci njene, iz zsplita su ponesene, osvijetlit ce staze tamne, probudit ce zvijezde snene. Raduje se nasa Sara i jos ne zna zastop pao, zvijezda trepti izgubljeno, meteor joj na put stao.
I loved her like my own daughter; my heart is broken. The Heaven got enriched by two beautiful Angels. Love forever, Ana with sons!

I was shaken by the tragedy of the Kun family, from afar and thinking about what happened. Words cannot help in the face of the so special face and soul of Loredana Kun, who came to Toronto from the beautiful lands of Croatia, the special mother of Sara her beloved daughter, may them both rest in peace !
The pain is sometimes so severe that only an almost divine force can help the spiritual support of those left behind, themselves overwhelmed by pain and bewilderment.
We are as fragile as the leaf in this late autumn wind.

George is a dear childhood friend, and certainly we feel we were lucky to meet and fell in love with Loredana. Her warmth, energy, sense of humor, good heart, erudition was apparent from the first moment. And it was always a special pleasure to see the extraordinary chemistry and love between the two of them. They were made for each other. Words cannot express our sorrow.
