Obituary of Maryan Grima

May 21, 1940 - May 9, 2022 

With immense sadness, we announce, after 81 memorable years of love, adventure, and travel, our beautiful matriarch, Maryan Grima, passed away at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto on May 9th.

Maryan of Valletta, Malta has gone to join her beloved husband Jojo Grima (deceased 2019) for eternity. Cherished by her daughters Karen (Gary), Gisel (Paul), and Dany (Tony); grandchildren Mike, Tara, Jason, Katrina, Sasha, Jackie, Emily, Natalie, Richard, and Sara; and great-grandchildren Lucas and Addison. She was adored by siblings Joseph (Venera), Sandra (Rico), late Ella and Francis (Angela); loved by nieces and nephews, in-laws, relatives, and friends.

Maryan enjoyed being in the company of her big, boisterous family. She was a care-giver, listener, and best friend to so many and will be missed dearly by all. A Funeral Mass will take place at Corpus Christi Church (16 Lockwood Rd, Toronto) at 10 a.m., followed by the Rite of Committal at St. John's Norway Cemetery (256 Kingston Road, Toronto). Please follow in procession to the cemetery and park either on Kingston Road outside of the cemetery gates, or inside the cemetery laneway facing north.
