Obituary of Liam Smith
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear Liam Tristan Sean Smith at age 26. Liam was born in Toronto on 17 November, 1995 and passed away on 25 May, 2022.
Proud son of Lyne Robichaud-Smith and Sean Smith, the hero of his loving sister Chloe Smith, dear grandson of Jeannine Larouche and Evelyn Smith, predeceased by grandfathers Edgar Robichaud and Brian Smith. The best nephew his Aunt Marina (Marnie) Easton and Uncle Michael Easton, Uncle Kevin Smith, and Uncle Sylvain Robichaud could ask for. Eldest cousin of Sarah Easton, Noah Easton and Tzar Robichaud. He was a true friend to all who met him.
Liam graduated high school in Georgetown, Ontario and went to university in Ottawa and Toronto where he received his Bachelor's Degree in History and Biology at Glendon College. Liam worked as a Sales Associate at IKEA (North York) and was everyone's favourite IKEA furniture builder. He was also enrolled at York University's Masters of Environmental Science.
The outpouring of love our family has received from all who studied, worked and partied with him has been overwhelming.
Words can't do justice to how special a man he was. Nothing pleased him more than laughing with family and friends. He was the first person you called when you needed something done. The toughest kid you could ever meet with the gentlest of hearts. An explorer always up for adventure, yet always responsible and grounded. Our Liam had the fullest spectrum of good qualities you could ask for.
These qualities were put to the test unlike anything imaginable when our brave Liam began this final journey which he endured with a grace that's indescribable. No matter the hospital, nurse or doctor; all treated our Liam with a compassion that will leave us forever grateful.
The beautiful way he passed surrounded by family, music and love; with a peaceful smile on his face, was his way of letting us all know that he has gone to the most amazing homecoming.
To every one of you; thank you from the bottom of our heart.
May we all live as Liam!
