Obituary of Kathy Pouliot
On August 7th, 2022, Katherine (Kathy) Elizabeth Pouliot passed away peacefully at the age of 71 after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. It would be wrong to say that Kathy lost her battle because she never stopped fighting, no matter how sick she was, she was always determined and stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance looks like.
You were a precious gift from God, so much beauty, grace, love and patience you possessed. You touched our hearts in so many ways with your strength and smile. You took exceptional care of your husband, daughters, sons, daughters-in-law, sons-in-laws and grandchildren and you were also able to meet your new great grandson. You loved and always put everyone first with your warm, kind, and loving heart. You were, and still are the center of our family.
Kathy was the mother of four children; however, many considered her their second mother as she cared for so many children throughout her life, that was her passion and gift. Kathy cared so deeply for her family and neighbors, she would bring meals to the home of sick neighbors, and she always ensured that every child she cared for was loved, safe, healthy and happy, Kathy always made this look easy.
How is it that we never saw your wings when you were here with us, you earned those wings, and you will always be our eternal angel.
She is survived by her husband Claude Pouliot, her sons Robert (Manon) Pouliot, James (Michelle MacDonald) Pouliot, her two daughters Tamara (Martin) Talbot and Corrina (Jeff) McKenna. She will be dearly missed and cherished by her nine grandchildren Chelsie, Jessica (Nick), Alysha, Michaela, Riley, Maxime, Brielle, Hailey and Aiden and also by her great grandson Phoenix.
She will never be forgotten by her friends and extended family Danielle (Brent) Lamptey and twins Brooklyn and Bryson, Mary, Shirley, Linda and John, and so so many more.
Special thanks to Michelle, (our rockstar) we are beyond grateful for you. And to the nurse Jade, home care workers Keira, and PSW Sheila and Carol who continuously assisted the family and cared for Kathy in her home until the end.
We will be honoring Kathy’s wishes with a private intimate family gathering.
