Dear Bert, Rhonda, and family:
We cannot comprehend the magnitude of the loss you must be feeling at this time.
You are suffering every parent's worst nightmare. Years ago, someone told us that "When you lose a parent, you lose your past.
When you lose a sibling or spouse, you lose your present.
When you lose a child, you lose your future."
This makes your daughter's passing extremely hard for you, as her Mom and Dad.
You must take comfort in the memories of Calea as the wonderful young woman that she was, and the love and support that you all gave to her through her long ordeal.
She is in God's care now, and without pain.
God's grace and peace be bestowed upon you all...

My deepest condolences to the Grespan Family, Alex and anyone who had the privledge of knowing Calea. She was such a caring, beautiful woman. I feel blessed to have been able to call her my friend.
Calea was the first friend I ever made in Highschool. Father Michael Goetz was not a school that my middle or elementary schools lead to. I remember heading to my homeroom in grade 9 absolutely terrified of knowing no-one. I remember walking up to the science room and looking inside, I saw a girl sitting with an empty seat next to her. I walked up and asked her if the seat was taken and she smiled and said no its free! I sat down and just like that Calea and I became instant friends. Calea was one of my best friends in Grade 9 and while we drifted apart a bit throughout the years we always stayed in contact and she remained someone I always considered my good friend. She was the sweetest person I think ive ever known, she used to have to open my locker for me because I couldnt figure out how to get the combination to work and never complained, and I even remember on a day I wasnt feeling well, she walked me to my class to make sure I got there ok, being a bit late for her own. That was the kind of person she was, she always helped out anyone who needed it and never complained. She had the most gorgeous smile and blue eyes.
I have so many lovely memories with Calea like going to Goetz performances, wonderland, hanging out with her and going swimming in the pool. I moved to England after highschool and we still kept intouch here and there. When I moved back to Canada I remember we were amazed when we discovered we worked just down the road from eachother in Mississauga! I had her over to my apartment and we got starbucks and just caught up and it was like we had never been apart. The last time I saw Calea, she, Alex and her brother came to my apartment to pick up a sectional couch I was selling. I wish it hadnt been so long ago.
We had tried to get together since 2019 and it just never worked out with timing as I lived 2.5 hours outside of Toronto. We still messaged and kept intouch and most recently in October I reached out while living in Texas and we chatted and she told me about what she was going through. She was still so upbeat about everything and seemed like her usual happy self. Im so extremely saddened we were not able to meet up, and as I just got back to Canada I was looking forward to reaching out to her to get together.
While we were not the closest in our adult years im still so thankful we were able to keep in touch through social media messages and texts.
Calea was truly the most beautiful person both inside and out, and that is exactly how I describe her to anyone I talk to about her. I just remember she always had a big smile on her face, and loved to make her friends laugh. I am going to miss our random messages and comments on eachothers posts. Calea is a friend I can truly say I love with all my heart. I will hold our messages, memories, and the times we shared together in my heart forever.

Dear Calea,
It saddens me to face the sad reality that you have now passed. I'm so sorry that these words were not said enough prior to today.
I cherish so many of my most special memories of my life, in which you were apart of! While we were apart for most of our lives, you and your family have always held a special place in my heart!
I remember the first time I met you while we sat at a camp fire up at Grant and Margaret's trailer. This was a time of no worries. A feeling of invincibility while you, your siblings, Jer and I traded stories of our past and looked forward to the ideas we all had for our future. A future that was taken from you far too early!
I remember the memories of our teenage years, where we gathered at your home and were welcomed with food, laughter and long days of swimming while your parents relished the bonds we all shared as kids.
I remember your genuinity and comfort you provided us all, with every hug, with all your wisdom and with all your love.
As I write to you today, I ponder the reasons why God would take someone so kind, so loyal, so beautiful so soon, I have no explanation. I feel for myself..but feel even more for those who lost somthing more than I... a daughter, a sister, a grandchild, a niece, a fiancee, a best friend.
Calea, the impression you have left on those you have met and the imprint you leave on those that you love, will forever resemble the beautiful soul that was and the infinite spirit that will live on in all of us.
You are loved ever so dearly and I can't belive your gone!
Hear me today, hear me tomorrow, as every day Ill pray for you, your family and those you love. While we all lost so much, Heaven gained one of its most beautiful angels.

I never got a chance to really know her but am saddened that she's gone. I know Alex loved and adored her and she him. I can't image what my nephew is going through but his love for Calea will sustain him in his grief.
