My dearest Richard, words can’t express the love that we shared or the pain that my heart feels since you’ve been gone. We shared a very special bond, Faith is her name, she is our pride and joy, a part of you and a part of me. We watched her flourish into a beautiful, amazing young women that she has become today, so very proud of her. She has you strength and stubbornness too, but I think that’s a Hurley thing. They say with time the pain will ease, it will be longer than I can foresee. I loved you dearly and truly, I told you often but you always knew. Those 3little pecks and an I love you. It didn’t take much to make us happy, as long as we were both together or near. Our memories I will hold deep in my heart and mind for we are one of a kind. Until we meet again darling Richard. Forever in my heart and never to be forgotten. Always, Jacqui.

MY FATHER
My Father was known by many names, Richard, Dick, Dad, Daddy Dick and my favourite “ole man” because I knew he didn’t like it.
My Father has engrained in me many values some are; respect your elders, mine your manners, work hard and take care of your family. I also got from my father is his, contrariness, hardheadedness and being stubborn!
My Father had a favourite saying “Have you been told yet today”. If you every heard this you knew there was a string of profanity coming your way, and you where prepared for it.
I’m going to miss our late night UFC fights, wrestling events, fishing trips, September BBQ’s and how tight you always tucked in your t-shirts so we always knew where your belly button was.
You are a great man and took care of the family even during the toughest of times.
Rest easy now Dad, you job is done. I will take care of the family now.
I will always love you….

Jackie and Faith my dearest friends. Sorry to hear about the loss of Richard (husband and father). He was a good man. I am so glad I got to see him a couple of days before he passed. Hard to believe we were out to eat at Red Lobster on Tuesday July 12th before I went home. I will never forget those few days I was there. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Richard’s family (Dennis, Anthony, and Richard and the rest of his family). God Bless and love too.. ❤️
