I first met your family when I was a young girl living in Aurora with my brothers and twin sisters, Sam, Wayne, Bill, Paul, and Wendy and Robin. My grandparents were Bruce and Mary Ellen (Minnie) Ferguson from Lorneville NB. I believe our grandmothers were best friends in Lorneville. When my grandparents lived with us during winter months, we often would come to the church in Pine Grove. We sometimes visited your home for lunch after church. Your mother was a very welcoming hostess and lunch was always delicious. Many years later after the birth of my first child, it was your mother who came to my house as the Public Health nurse. She saw my name on the list as a new mother and actually requested to visit me. We had a lovely visit that day. I remember your mother as a beautiful, kind and gracious woman. My deepest condolences to all your families on her passing.

Dear Chris and the family,
I am so sorry for your loss, I’m truly saddened to hear of Win’s passing. In my family we always referred to her as “mom” because there was a connection and easy comfort from the moment we met. She was such a light in everyone’s life, truly a kind soul that meant a lot to everyone who was fortunate to know her. I’m sending you and your family all my love and prayer as you process this huge loss.
I hope it brings comfort knowing what an impact she had on people’s lives including my mom, Mulu, who loved her so dearly and saw her as her own mother figure. I will miss her hugs and yummy money cake, but I’m so glad I have those memories of her to cherish forever ❤️

ThankYOU for your love & prayers for our family. We went to her favourite restaurant afterwards & had a special time of reminiscing together. She will be buried with Dad in Lorneville, NB sometime this summer after a Celebration of Life in PEI - her favourite place to be!
