Obituary of Marek Wiktor Zawierucha
Marek Wiktor Zawierucha passed away suddenly on June 4, 2024. He was born on February 27, 1954, in Poland before making his way to Toronto, Canada in 1987, where he resided until his passing.
Marek was a husband, a father, a father-in-law, a brother, an uncle, a great uncle, and a grandfather – a title he wore proudly. He is survived by his wife, Danuta, daughter Philadelphia, daughter Patrycja (Denis), grandsons Mason and William, brothers Wojciech (Helena), Robert (Czesława), Mirosław, and sisters Elżbieta, Bożena, Grażyna (Zbigniew), and many nieces, nephews and their children.
Marek was a proud, kind family man who gave selflessly to all. He was the first to lend a helping hand, sometimes before you even knew you needed help. He took pride in his appearance, always looking sharp and elegant.
He valued education, learning languages, and travelling. He worked hard, with the motto “do it well or not at all” and had a wonderful knack for solving problems; nothing was impossible. A value he instilled in his daughters and grandsons.
Marek was a dreamer, always working for a life bigger than big for himself and his loved ones. Those that knew him, always heard of plans that could fill several lifetimes. Those who met him were greeted with the kindest smile, a bear hug or a firm handshake, and if you asked how he was, you would hear his trademark answer “I’m always fine!”
How lucky are we to have met someone that makes saying goodbye so incredibly hard.
“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.”
Marek's Funeral Services will be held privately.
Messages of condolence may be sent via his memorial legacy page. Please ensure to choose PRIVATE when submitting the messages to be sent direct to the family.
