Obituary of Marion Roberta Macdonald

Marion Macdonald, 90, of Scarborough, died on December 23, 2024, at Scarborough General Hospital. She was born on December 14, 1934, to Sara and Ezekiel Matthews in Toronto. She married Ken Macdonald on July 23, 1952, and they had one child, Laura Vanderkooy. Marion worked as the head of payroll at the Peel Board of Education for many years. Marion loved to travel, and had many adventures with Ken travelling to Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Iceland. She also enjoyed cruising in the Caribbean, Baltic and Mediterranean.

Marion Macdonald is survived by her daughter Laura (Paul) Vanderkooy, her grandchildren Nathan (Anca) & Caitlin (Jessica), and great-grandchildren Zoe, Madeline, Elise, Jaimeson and Jackson. Predeceased by her husband Ken Macdonald, and her sister Jean Matthews.

Memorial Services will be on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church with Minister Chuck Moon officiating. Reception to follow.
