Obituary of Włodek Karolak
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wlodziu on December 28th, at 7 AM at the age of 69. A devoted husband, father, and visionary, Wlodek leaves behind a legacy of strength, wisdom, and an enduring passion for life.
Born on September 26, 1955, Wlodek was a man of immense intelligence and determination. For much of his career, he worked as a scientist at GlaxoSmithKline, where his contributions to drug development helped improve countless lives. Later, he channeled his creativity and relentless work ethic into entrepreneurship, founding and running two successful businesses. Whether in the lab or in business, Wlodek approached challenges with focus, ingenuity, and a drive to succeed. Wlodek also had a deep love for yachting, spending cherished moments on his boat sailing the waters of Lake Ontario. It was here that he found peace and joy, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the freedom of the open lake.
A family man at heart, Wlodek is survived by his loving wife, Jolanta, and his son, Damian. While he wasn’t a man of many words when it came to expressing his feelings, his actions spoke volumes. He embodied hard work, resilience, and the importance of providing for family. Through his unique blend of tough love and unwavering support, he imparted lessons that will last a lifetime.
Wlodek believed in the power of knowledge and skills as the true markers of a person’s worth. He often said that while material possessions may come and go, knowledge and wisdom are eternal. This philosophy inspired his family and those around him to pursue their passions and strive for excellence in all they do.
Wlodek’s legacy will live on through the lives he touched, the values he instilled, and the love he shared.
