Your words about Joann are wonderful and so very true - generous in energy and spirit, wide smile, warm embrace and wry humour, positive energy., a joy to be around. There is one more part of her life that I would like to honour. Joann made an enormous contribution to stroke care in Ontario. She use her skills as a facilitator and report writer at many steps along the way. She was the true writer of some key articles that helped give the work attention. She was a strong member of the Board of the Ontario Stroke Network. always present, enthusiastic and intelligent in all her many contributions.
She will be greatly missed and my thoughts are with her family that she loved and enjoyed so much as well as her many close friends.
Joann was a remarkable colleague and an even more remarkable friend. The beautiful tribute exemplifies her character and her joy for life and all "her people." (Thank you nieces and nephews for doing such an amazing tribute for your Ciocia). I will miss her professional advice, our regular dinners with Marilyn, and the INVALUABLE advice and support she has given me over the years. Joann was simply one of those people you meet along the road that makes life so much better! I hope you know how much I appreciated you......xo
I have known Joann for too short of time. We connected immediately at Qigong class. Loved her smile with sparkling eyes. Her joy for life was contagious! She will be missed dearly.
