Dear Robert and family,
I was incredibly sad to hear of Teresa's passing a few weeks ago. I only knew her a short time as her colleague at CAHO, but she was such a bright, vibrant soul that she made a lasting impact. I especially remember her bringing Sophie to visit us at CAHO - a wonderful little girl.
My condolences to you all and I wish you strength and peace during this time. CAHO has donated to Gilda's Club in her memory.

The world is noticeably dimmer as we all mourn your loss. While I never had the honour of meeting Teresa, it was the way that Robert spoke about her that I knew she was a compassionate, radiant, and wonderful wife, mother, and person. From here on the West Coast, I shall honour Teresa with that glass of prosecco.

Rob and family:
We were all saddened to hear of Teresa’s passing last week. I came to know Teresa when she came to work at the Institute of Corporate Directors. She was largely responsible for setting up the processes for the delivery of the Directors’ Education Program (DEP).
Teresa was always pleasant and always had a smile on her face. She was a diligent worker who always made time to offer a helping hand - especially to me who needed it.
She was responsible for training many of the people who followed her and she did it with kindness and understanding. She never shied away from hard work and was always willing to put in long hours making sure that everything ran perfectly.
I personally was very sad to see her leave us to pursue a new position only to hear that she was then battling breast cancer.
She will be much missed but I will think of her often as I gaze out over the water.
I will make a donation to St Michael’s Hospital Foundation in her name.
My sincerest condolences to you, Sophie and her family.

Rob and family:

What can I say now, my beloved niece? Words just fall short.
The last time I heard your voice, on Saturday, 3:40pm May 8, 2019, you called to tell me you would soon go. I was then standing in a supermarket, going about a usual day. Then my world was suddenly ripped apart by the awareness of an imminent loss so enormous I had no idea how I got home. But I will remember the promise we made that day to each other: We’ll remember each other in our happy days. So, there you are, always with your brilliant smile, that blessed time when we could share so many precious moments in November 2017, when you, Rob and Sophie so kindly included me into your family and home for a brief but unforgettable time. And there you are, looking out to the lake somewhere close to your home in one of our walks, looking out to the water trying to catch the iridescent reflections of sky on water. I will not only remember you when I am on the water or looking out to sea, but in every tree and flower, in bird songs and cat tails and baby smiles… as I remember how we looked around laughing at every shot we tried to catch as you accompanied me to explore the autumn colours in your neighborhood. I told you that if my arms are not close enough to hug you in person, I will be hugging you in thoughts and prayers and holding you in my heart. I still do. You will always be there, still with your brilliant smile, full of life.

I met Teresa a few years ago when I became her Massage Therapist. What an honor it was getting to know her and to be a helping part with this terrible disease! I was very sad to hear of her passing as I was looking forward to seeing her again at the end of May. I will never forget her contagious smile and laugh! She didn’t talk much about herself but often about her daughter. Teresa always had a calm energy to her along with a great sense of humor. She was a very strong woman who fought a good fight! Always smiling. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to Rob, Sophie and the rest of Teresa’s family. I’m so very sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful soul!

We met Rob and Teresa in prenatal class five years ago and shared in the experience of having a baby, raising a toddler and managing a kindergartener. Teresa, I appreciated your love of art, hats and food. We will continue playing in the park and having picnics with Rob and Sophie, in your memory, and hopefully from somewhere you will hear our daughters’ laughter.

For six years we had the privilege of living next to Teresa and her family, and looked forward to the times we would have a chance to talk and catch up on each other’s news. Whether we ran into her at the Farmer’s market on Sunday mornings, at the transit stop across the street, or in front of our house, she always took the time to chat and ask questions. Her questions were ones asked out of a genuine desire to know us.
Teresa was a genuinely warm and caring person who was loved by all her neighbours, friends, and family, and she will be missed a great deal. The past couple of years, we saw her less frequently out and about as she fought hard to overcome this terrible disease. We often thought of her as she endured her treatment, and her losses, as she battled cancer. We wish to extend our sincerest condolences to the family of this strong woman who lived next door. We are all
grieving the loss of our strong neighbour and friend as you grieve the loss of your mother and wife.
