Laura, from those days in Guelph of grad school, coffee, and Orlando, through every day since, you have been a remarkable friend--generous, kind, loving, and wise. You will be so missed. All our love, always, Ben and Patrick
Laura was the best next door neighbour we could have ever hoped for...I will dearly miss her "Hello Neighbour" greetings. It has been a privilege to share space with her and her family as we all navigate/navigated the slings and arrows of child-rearing, home ownership and the pandemic lockdowns side by side. We have photographed their family every year at Halloween since Thomas was born...and I am sharing my very favourite from 2022. So many cups of sugar, eggs, onions and a lot of muffin papers were passed back and forth over the fence or on the porches. During the lockdowns we exercised together on either side of our fence every day, sharing news, processing and watching Laura's belly grow with Harrison inside as she did fewer and fewer pushups as the weeks progressed. Proximity is precious. We are so saddened at her loss and extend our deepest love and condolences to the whole family. Your constant presence through her battle has been inspiring and comforting knowing she and the boys and Travis had so much support and love.
This picture was taken a day after Laura gifted me my favorite pants. I've talked about these pants so much each time she wore them, that she couldn't handle it anymore but gifted to me. I have seen Laura almost everyday for the past 3 years. My Americano and my shop happened to be her favorite and her coffee time happened to be my favorite.
She chose to be my friend. I feel Blessed and Proud to call Laura my friend.
I am thankful for every meaningful conversation we had, every joke, every moment spent together. My english has improved since I've met Laura. Each time, I've learned a new word. The Richest vocabulary on earth! Thankful for her. For her family. She made sure that each time, was family time for me too.
