Obituary of John Curtis
John Curtis, age 65, passed away on May 30th 2017 surrounded by friends and family. Beloved son of Pauline and Jack Curtis (deceased), John was born October 5th 1951 in Toronto, Ontario. Apart from three wonderful years in Bermuda he spent much of his life close to the home he grew up in and the pool in which he could often be found in the summertime. John truly was a man who was full of life and during his time at Gordon Graydon and the University of Toronto he made incredible friendships that would mean the world to him in the years to follow. He married the love of his life, Gillian Leigh, on April 12th 1980 and is survived by his 3 beloved children Eva, Clare and Desmond and two sisters Carole and Robin and her husband Hannes.
A lifetime lover of music, John’s family will cherish his record collection and juke box and the songs that carry his memory. John had an incredible sense of humour, and even in the face of cancer he couldn’t help but bring a smile to those he came in contact with. He is now reunited with Grace, his cherished chocolate lab.
